Mona Mendelson, MSW, LCSW-C
Clinical Social Worker
Mona Mendelson is a clinical social worker with a special interest in chronic pain and medical illness. She also has experience treating people with affective disorders, anxiety and relationship problems. She maintains a private psycho-therapy practice both at Pain and Rehabilitation Medicine and in her own office at 7920 Old Georgetown Road in Bethesda, MD. Mona uses an eclectic approach combining cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic psycho-therapy. She is an integral member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team at PRM and offers individual, group, family, and couples therapy as well as limited case management services. Together with clinical social worker Gwenn Herman, LCSW-C, DCSW, she leads a chronic pain therapy group. Ms. Herman is Director of the Pain Connection—Chronic Pain Outreach Center.
